divided into 4 separate
sections, plus "funnel" and "chute" on the side,
there is a "Round Pen"
for horse training according to the now so popular
method developed by

Two fish ponds at present,
with lots of room for more!
These ponds have produced
thousands of large sized Tilapia.

Water Facilities
Two
large capacity concrete
storage tanks (6,000 gallons for
irrigation, 2000 gallons for drinking water) provide for a versatile
distribution of the water.
Working Ranch
The main business,
since 1978, and up to the present has been;

Simbrah Cattle
( cow/calf operation), Horses, Lamb, Tilapia fish and freshwater
prawns production (for local consumption, hotels, restaurants),
Teak.
Other exotic hardwoods
hardwood reforestation.
There is potential
for expansion of the operation in view of the ever increasing influx
into this area of foreign capital and expertise, and in conjunction
with
the steadily improving
level of infrastructure in this Southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula
many doors could be opened.
New and less conventional
operations and/or crops could be started, such as Shrimp (Malaysian
sweet water), or any other type of aqua culture,
specialty vegetables,
herbs and spices, healing plants, etc., to satisfy the ever increasing
demands of the local,
tourist, and world
health market.

Nature Tours (Bird Watching, horseback
riding, as well as other Day Tours), and accommodations for extended
stays in this truly pristine and
beautiful area would be among some
of the other beneficial uses of this wonderful and unique property.
With so much natural Wild Life,
the area has really been protected,
thanks to the careful stewardship that has been given to this land
for almost 30 years.
The ranch has been held by Jerico,
S.A. & Barbara Boeck, since 1978, when it was purchased
(at the height of the Cold War) for a family refuge,
to live where there would be ample
land, food and water in a natural/healthy environment.
